Our city is located in an optimal spot for observing the Northern Lights, as the aurora season begins at its best as early as mid-August. On the same trip, you can admire both the autumn foliage and the Northern Lights. And for good reason, as the Northern Lights can be seen for almost half the year, on average about 150 nights a year. The closest suitable places for viewing the Northern Lights in Rovaniemi city center are the Arctic Garden near Arktikum and Ounasvaara, both just a short 10-30 minute walk away. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And the location itself doesn&#8217;t really matter.
